Da vi startede med Navnelapper, var det afgørende vigtigt for mig, at der ikke skulle være noget farlig kemi, fortæller Søren Larsen. Så jeg skrev til firmaet. Dette er svaret jeg fik:
"... indeholder ikke ftalater. Blødgørerne i PVC'en består af stoffer der ikke udgør nogen helbredsrisiko. Der er ej heller BPA i produktet (Bisphenol A)."
Der er PVC i Navnelapper, men det er ikke PVC i sig selv, som er sundhedsfarlig, men nogen af de blødgørere som tilsættes, specielt nogle ftalater. Se teksten her, som jeg har sakset fra Miljøstyrelsens Informationscenter for Miljø og Sundhed:
"Du kan sagtens støde på PVC i legetøj, men der er forbud eller restriktioner på at bruge nogle af ftalaterne.
Ftalaterne DEHP, DBP og BBP er forbudt i legetøj til børn under 14 år. Og hvis legetøjet kan kommes i munden, må det ikke indeholde DINP, DIDP og DNOP.
Legetøj og småbørnsartikler til børn under tre år må ikke være tilsat ftalater overhovedet.
Lovgivningen har dog en lille spidsfindighed, når legetøj og udstyr til småbørn ikke kan puttes i munden. Her gælder forbuddet mod alle ftalater også, på nær, i princippet, de tre ftalater DINP, DIDP og DNOP.
Forbuddet mod ftalater i legetøj til 0-3-årige gælder kun i Danmark, og således ikke hvis du køber et produkt i udlandet."
